SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

The University of London is offering the Matilda Mwaba Scholarship in honour of the late Ms Matilda Mwaba. The Matilda Mwaba African women in sport leadership scholarship provide development opportunities that enable young women to reach their full leadership potential in the sports industry. The award is provided to an individual who, through their personal and professional example, has demonstrated outstanding leadership and made significant contributions to the advancement of women in and through sports.

Number of Awards: 5 scholarships

Duration of the Scholarship: The scholarship will be valid for the maximum period of registration for your programme.

Benefits:

For the selected candidates,

  1. The scholarship will cover the fees for one short course (module) of the University of London International Sports Management by distance learning.
  2. Successful recipients of the scholarship will also receive mentorship in the specialist subject area.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be eligible for the Matilda Mwaba Scholarship applicant must:

  1. Be a woman
  2. Have an offer for the module/Postgraduate certificate
  3. Be of age 35 and under
  4. Be a permanent resident of a country in Africa
  5. Be able to provide relevant references

  1. Appicants must submit a fully completed course application to be considered for the scholarship.
  2. Download and complete the scholarship application form provided on the official website.
  3. Submit an application for the short course or Postgraduate Certificate in International Sports Management
  4. Please ensure you upload your completed scholarship application form under the ‘Scholarship Form’ section.
  5. Pay the appropriate online application fee for your programme.
  6. NOTE: submit your course application no later than 19 July as your scholarship application can only be considered if you have an offer.
