INDIA

  • After the removal of restrictions regarding work hours for international students, many Indian students claim to be exploited for cheap labour by Canada
  • India observed a surge in seats available for a medical degree at the Undergraduate level. The number is estimated to have increased from approximately 41,500 to 91,900 in the last decade. 
  • The Medical Counselling Committee of India plans to add 90 MBBS and 66 BSC Nursing seats to the second round of NEET Counselling.

INDONESIA

  • The Government of the United States strikes a partnership with the Indonesian Education ministry to improve the quality of education offered at a higher level.
  • Utkal University in Odisha signed an MoU with the University of Sugriwa, Bali for academic collaboration in the future.

JAPAN

  • A form of metaverse schooling system implemented in Japanese cities in order to counter rising absenteeism and make education accessible for students living far away.

RUSSIA

  • Russia plans to increase the number of scholarships offered to students from Jordan, residing in Russia. This initiative is to be fully funded by the Russian Government. 
  •  Due to the delay in fee payment, many South African students have been restricted from attending lectures from Russian Universities. Most of these students belonging to financially unstable backgrounds were offered a full scholarship to study in Russia.

AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

  • Many Ontario high school diplomas are to undergo a thorough examination by Australian universities due to the rise in fraudulent documents

EUROPE

UK

  • British universities aim to welcome more students from the Middle East in order to increase the International Student population.

FRANCE

  • The number of International Students from America in France has been reported to have increased by 50% due to cheaper tuition fees

NORTH AMERICA

CANADA

  • Canada aims to embrace immigration and welcome 1.5 million residents by 2025.
  • About 80% of International Students from Africa have been restricted from study permits by the federal government.
